Boring
This blog is unusually quiet these days because even if I used all of my clever words and strung them together in a strategic and well thought out way, the boringness of the daily grind would seem even more boring than it actually is. Not crappy, just not interesting. If I would have written for the past few days it would have went like this:
- I woke up today and fed the girls. Then I went grocery shopping. The end.
Do you really want to read that? That's what I thought.
Also, I am on a mission to find vegetables that someone with 6 teeth and and a bad attitude can eat with with their fingers because she is too grown up to be fed by her dorky parents. I gave Roob a green bean the other day and she actually punched me in the face. Peas were met leerily, but without violence. Goldie is like a garbage disposal and eats everything not nailed down so I am unprepared for this. What vegetables do your kids like?

Ketchup, french fries, dill pickles....those are veggies right? Someone PLEASE tell me those are veggies!
We trick the toddler with sweet potato fries..the 11 month old eats avocadoes, corn, carrots, cooked diced tomato, lima beans. Thank goodness for canned veggies. And bribery.
Corn, bell peppers, carrots, green beans and cucumbers are popular w/ my kids. They like peas now but it took many introductions before they would not gag at the sight of them. :) And my 2-yr old shocked us recently by falling in love w/ a tossed salad.
I'm a big lurker here but wanted to speak up to say even if you did post about the mundane things, I'm confident I'd still get a laugh out of it. You've got such a way with words. Veggies? I'm no help. My picky kid only veggies of choice are corn and potatoes. And we know what corn's only value is for right?
My kids love beans, black beans, garbonzo beans, kidney beans - I know those aren't exactly veggies.
Also, edamame, they love edamame in the shells because the fun is getting the 'beans' out and eating them.
When I was younger I liked corn...especially baby corns from the can.
let's see...preschooler Boo will eat peas and corn, and take little nibbles of carrots and broccoli. Tickle will eat anything, but peas are her fave veggie.
In our home, our 6 year will not eat ANY veggies. Unless ketchup is indeed a vegetable, then I stand corrected. As far as our almost three year old goes, she eats Broccoli, carrots, potatos, and corn, but her favorite is cauliflower. She likes it especially when I fry it in butter.
The 2 1/2 yo? None. The Baby? Will eat anything that is not nailed down. Reminds me of the line from "Grandma's Boy". "I don't know what the f**k you are but I'm gonna eat you, too"
