Feeding Roob

*WARNING!* This post? Totally about my boobs. Mommy blogging boiled down to it's essence really. Proceed with caution*

My boobs F-ing are on freaking fire. Not like Hott, more like stinging and burning. Have been trying to ignore it, not working. I have no idea what is going on because everything looks like it should, but feels like the pain of a thousand knives every time I have to Feed the Beast.

I gave her a bottle to give myself a rest. Do you know what cruel joke fate has played on me? The child now refuses anything that does not have a skin flavor. If it isn't flesh, she doesn't want it in her mouth. Also? She bites. Or should I say, boney plates. Hard.

I am a miserable, sad, sorry person. It cannot be yeast again. I killed that bitch. I mean, it couldn't be alive after the beating that the Rx and the purple stuff over and over again. Maybe I am imagining this? I refuse to go in and complain to anyone about this again so I am just going to have to deal. And cry. What am I going to do?

In other non-boob related news, we resolved the feeding frenzy from last month with the addition of some solids as needed. Did you know that if you Google '4 months+ feed rice cereal' that the entire internet will show up at your house and punch you in the face individually? Maybe people really are nursing their children into middle age? Just a little bonus tidbit for you.

Am off to ponder a voluntary Hooterectomy.

I've been lurking for awhile because you crack me up! I think I got here through the Daily Dose?? Anyway, the boob thing....I don't remember what it's technically called, but my sister had this condition that when she nursed her nipples would turn white, meaning all the blood was leaving the area and it would BURN. And it would keep hurting pretty much all the time. You certainly could have yeast again, but if not maybe this is something to look in to. I think the only remedies were using hot or cold packs or something....I'm sure you can find more indo online somewhere. Hope you can figure it out, no one deserves painful boobs!

Zoe started cereal at 4 1/2 months. My boobs couldn't stand to be her main form of nutrition for much longer.

Oh... and the only thing that gave me any relief (well, gave my nipples relief) were those soothies gel pads. They were heaven sent.

Sorry about the burning. It could be yeast again. What a bitch to deal with that again.

Laughed out loud here at work on you goggle search. I lurk on a breast feeding message board. All the ladies are shocked when the pediatrician wants them to *gasp* offer solids before 6 months!! Give me a break. Kirsten was on cereal at 4 months and she loved every minute of it. Still does, she is sooooo mommy's girl :D. Can I help it if I feel proud when she opens wide to get more solids?

Hope you fix your hoots soon!

I'm so sorry about the possible yeast thing. I had that while breast feeding and would cry after every feeding. For your sake I so hope that's not what it is...

Breast feeding was a complete nightmare for me, I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did! I'm not sure how many lactation experts, doctors, heck, even a few girlfriends were manhandling my 'girls' trying to show me what I was doing wrong. In the end I conceded and although I felt a lot of guilt my boys were very healthy and did just fine on formula (gasp) and we started solids around 4 months.
Hope your boobs feel better soon!

sounds like yeast again. I had it off and on the whole time I BF Kyra. The worst was the 12 week stretch that started when she was 6 weeks old. Yay. It took 3 courses of diflucan, copious amounts of Gentian Violet and, finally what conquered it was adding grapefruit seed extract to my daily diet. Get thee to a health food store and stock up if you don't have any.
Best of luck. Yeast sucks ass.

Alright a booby post! LOL I hope you went to the Dr to find out if it was thrush. That sucks! If it's your nipples I'd say it is. Good luck!
