Birth class is freaky

So, we went to our first birth class last night. Not sure yet if it is a good thing or not since I am already freaked out enough about giving birth and I am not sure if fully understanding what will happen is going to help or not. They showed how the pelvis separates to let the babe out and that was not good. They did show the partners how to massage during labor and I will say that I really dug that.

Went back to the chiro, still only able to work 5 hours a day, which is cool with me, but I have to start wearing a back support which will make me look even hotter in my maternity pants!!

Your experience may be different, but all that massage stuff they showed hubby and me in birth class w/ baby #1 was totally useless when I was in labor. I didn't want hubby to come near me, let alone touch me! But everyone is different. You may love it, who knows. How far along are you? Like your picture....looking good, Mama! Thanks for your minivan advice--yes, we are hoping to buy straight from an owner. Dealers are so obviously over-priced. What model van did you get?

The massage stuff is useful though before labor! Milk it for what it's worth. :)

As far as birth classes go...some women love them. Others don't.

Hey thanks for coming by my site! We took birth classes the last time. It was interesting! I mostly enjoyed the message! I too had Sciatic nerve pain in my last pregnancy! Hopefully, I won't have to deal with it this time, who know? Someone told me that if you lay flat on the bed, with just enough room for your tip toes to hit the floor (one foot at a time) that is was a good stretch! Good luck!
