Not Funny

I was going to write a post about snot and sneezing and pressure and pain and also how my face might explode. Then I looked and it appears that I already wrote that post every day for the last two weeks.

I will leave you with a window into my life that may help you understand why My Funny appears to be on hiatus: I have a double ear infection and sinus infection. It is the second week in February and I have spent four weeks since January first on antibiotics.

I am so fucked.

**Edited to add: Take heart, dear reader, although My Funny may be broken you will be pleased to know that My Differently Abled is still up and running. I just wrote a heartfelt Valentine greeting to a friend who lives far away so that they could open it when they got to work on Valentine's day, you know, Wednesday. I find it amazing that I am able to still wipe the drool off some days.

Booger Twins Activate: Form of a glass of wine? You?

It seems we have the same blasted colds/stomache flus/plague that going around. I am the last one standing at my house. Cross your fingers. Knock on wood.

Did you knock on wood?

I'm serious woman. The bleach isn't working so I am resorting to voodoo dolls and superstition.

Hang in there.

garlic oil capsules. Not "garlique" but the oil gel caps. And as much garlic as you (and you husband) can stomach. I once had the same thing, double ear infection and sinus infection. I was in so much pain I couldn't lift my head and couldn't get in to see the doctor until the next day. So I downed nearly a bottle of the garlic and put whole cloves into a meatloaf I made for dinner and while I kept the vampires at bay that night I also felt worlds better. Like 80% better the following morning. I told the doctor what I'd done and he actually told me to keep doing it because it was working and he wouldn't give me antibiotics unless it didn't fully go away with the garlic. It did. The next day.

So I totally give this advice all the time and it works. But you'll reek.
