This morning we went for bagels, then attempted a neighborhood parade that was rained out. Now I'm baking brownies and nursing a sore back (damn childbearing) while the toddler naps and the husband catches up on work. Later this afternoon, we will head to the neighbors' for a bbq type thing. Then home to watch TV and curse the hoodlums with firecrackers. Verra exciting.
We went to a friends for a brief BBQ. Then took my MIL to Kohls to get stuff for her new place. Now it is 8:00 and about to rain. No fireworks this year...
Mmmm.... Stuffing self! Sounds like FUN! Our Canada day was on Monday, so no BBQ's for us today, but the monkey and I still had our regular fun!
Omigosh, though? You got me craving ribs! And, I'm a strict non-red-meat-eater!
The kids are away with my mom visiting my sister, so Hubby and I spent the day eating junk food and watching Season 2 of Deadwood! Oh, and then we watched out the window as some of our neighbors did the fireworks thing.
We are doing the cookout thing this weekend with friends...we wanted to wait for the kids to get home for that part...
